About us...

Wormwize® is a product of Kreavet. It is built by a small team of researchers that aims to empower veterinarians and farmers.

The Wormwize® team supports veterinarians to bring evidence-based, state-of-the art advice on parasitic control to cattle operations.

Kreavet is a Belgian research and consultancy agency.

Through continued close interactions with research and laboratory partners, we have the ambition to continuously adopt the latest scientific insights, improve the health of farm animals and promote sustainable worm control.

He completed his PhD in veterinary parasitology at University of Bristol in 2015 and worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and University of Calgary for 5 years. His work in the UK and Canada has involved significant interactions with livestock farmers through planning and conducting field research. Tong has managed multiple research projects and worked with mathematical parasite transmission models. Tong is the Chief Technology Officer at Kreavet and the product manager of Wormwize®.

Karlien

Karlien Supré

Dr. Karlien Supré is a veterinarian with expertise in dairy herd health. She obtained her PhD at Ghent University, focusing on intramammary infections in dairy cows. She has over a decade of experience in diagnostics, field consultancy, and project coordination, and has supported and trained veterinarians, farmers, and industry stakeholders in the prevention of infectious diseases to promote sustainable farming.

At Kreavet, Karlien contributes to innovative, science-based solutions for the ruminant sector, and is the Technical Manager of Wormwize®.

Johannes

Johannes Charlier

Dr. Johannes Charlier conducted research on the diagnosis, epidemiology and control of parasitic worm infections in ruminants at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ghent University for 13 years. He founded Kreavet in 2017 with the ambition to speed-up translation of research results into practice. He contributed to several parasite monitoring programmes in dairy cattle in Belgium and the world. With Wormwize®, he wants to place this know-how and experience in the hands of veterinary practitioners and advisors to promote efficient and sustainable parasite control.

WW EC 2

Edwin Claerebout

Edwin Claerebout is an EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Parasitology (dipEVPC) and professor in parasitology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University. His research interests are parasitic diseases in livestock, in particular sustainable control of gastro-intestinal parasites and psoroptic mange in cattle. This includes vaccine development, drug resistance and decision support tools to facilitate uptake of sustainable parasite control by farmers and veterinarians. Prof Claerebout is scientific adviser of Wormwize®.

Kreavet is the scientific coordinator of SPARC - the European Community of Practice on sustainable worm control.

SPARC aims to establish a dynamic network across Europe to increase the performance and the resilience of ruminant livestock farmers by widely disseminating best practices, tools and solutions for sustainable worm control.

By joining SPARC, you’ll gain free access to a network of European, national, and regional stakeholders, creating valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge and address challenges, needs, and opportunities in effective worm control. Engage with fellow farmers, vets and specialists to put these practices into action, and participate in workshops, on-farm demonstrations, and international learning exchanges.
